Credentials are a powerful tool to provide trust and amplify who you are and what you do. This article provides ideas on how to promote your credential through your email signature.

Adding a Credential to an Email Signature

After receiving a credential, consider adding it to your email signature moving forward. This is a great way to provide additional trust when speaking with people online and showcasing your certifications, employments, skills, membership, recognition, etc. Skip to the examples sections to see how this can be done.

1. Start by opening the credential you received via email. Click "View your Credential" to open in a new window.

2. When the credential opens, click the URL path, right click, and select copy. You're now ready to add your credential link to your email signature. See options below based on the email platform you use.

3. As an added step, you can also grab the badge image to include in your email signature. After opening the credential, toggle to the badge by selecting it. Then, right click on the badge and click "Save image as..." to download. Once saving, you are now ready to add into your email signature. See options below based on the email platform you use.

Adding to Gmail

1. Open Gmail and navigate to the settings. Click "See all settings."

2. Within settings, scroll down to the signature block.

3. Highlight the text you'd like to link to your credential. Examples provided in the sections below.

4. Click the link icon () and paste your hyperlink.

5. You can also add your badge here by clicking the picture icon () and selecting the badge you downloaded. Resize as needed. Then, highlight the image, click the link icon (), and paste your hyperlink.

6. Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the screen.

7. Moving forward, anyone that receives your emails will be able to click the hyperlinks and view and verify these credentials, amplifying your brand.

Adding to Outlook

1. Open Outlook and select Settings.

2. View all Outlook settings at the top of the page. Select Mail and then Compose and reply.

3. Under Email signature, highlight the text you'd like to link to your credential. Examples provided in the sections below.

4. Click the link icon and paste your hyperlink.

5. You can also add your badge here by clicking the picture icon and selecting the badge you downloaded. Resize as needed. Then, highlight the image, click the link icon, and paste your hyperlink.

6. Click "Save."
